On November 4-5, 2021, the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli is holding the International scientific-practical full-time / correspondence conference "DIALOGUE OF MUSICAL CULTURES OF EAST AND WEST".

 The conference is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli.

 

The work of the conference will be organized in the following directions:

 1. Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli: pages of history;

2. Nizami Ganjavi-880: poetic heritage and music;

3. Dialogue of the musical cultures of East and the West: historical retrospective and modernity;

4. Ethnomusicology at the present stage;

5. Actual problems of historical and theoretical musicology;

6. Contemporary music education: problems and prospects;

7. Information technologies in music.

 

 Researchers, teachers and specialists of higher and secondary education institutions in the field of musical art, culturology, doctoral students and graduate students are invited to participate in the conference.

The conference is planned to be held in a blended format.

 

The following forms of participation are envisaged:

•     full-time;
•    remote (via online broadcasting or broadcasting of a video recording provided by the participant in advance by e-mail).

 

Time limit for speeches:

 report at a breakout session - up to 15 minutes

 The application form for participation in the conference and the texts of the reports should be sent to the e-mail address  no later than October 1, 2021.

 Following the results of the conference, it is planned to publish scientific articles in the journal "Musigi Dunyasi" (ISSN 2219-8274 (Printed), ISSN 2219-8482 (Online).

The journal will be sent to participants of the conference in electronic form by e-mail and in printed form to the postal addresses indicated in the applications.

RULES FOR REGISTRATION OF REPORTS

The application form should indicate the topic of the report, information about the author (surname, name, patronymic in full, academic degree and title, place of work and position, postal and e-mail address, contact phone numbers).

The text of the article should be typed in the editor Microsoft Word. The volume of publication is up to 1 printed sheet, A4 format, Times New Roman font, size 14, top and bottom margins 20 mm, left margin 30 mm, right margin 15 mm, line spacing 1.5 and paragraph indentation 1.25. The text should not contain footnotes and notes, formulas, tables and graphs, page numbering. References to sources are given within the text in square brackets, for example [U. Hajibeyli, 1984, p. 28]. In the "Bibliography" section, the positions are arranged in alphabetical order (12 pt), not numbered. Articles are published in the author's edition. The working languages ​​of the conference are Azerbaijani, English, Russian and Turkish.

Resume in English of 8-10 lines, size 10, interval 1.

Key words should consist of  8-12 words.

  The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select applications, reject materials submitted in violation of the established requirements or not containing sufficient scientific novelty.

 The expenses of the speakers for travel and accommodation in Baku are paid by the sending party.
